Meditation for Insomnia
"Insomnia, coupled with anxiety, left me exhausted, depleted and wired. Meditation helped me to regain control over my sleeping patterns and allowed my body and mind to switch off at night allowing me a restful nights' sleep. Meditation takes the brain into a deeper state of relaxation than sleep so even if you have missed a few hours at night, you know you are fully supporting yourself through meditation."

How meditation can help you
Meditation allows the mind and body to enter into the rest & digest mode (or parasympathetic nervous system) each time you meditate. By coming out of fight or flight (the sympathetic nervous system) for short periods of time each day, you recalibrate your nervous system by reducing the production of cortisol and adrenalin and at the same time increasing melatonin production. All of which are great for a restful nights' sleep.
